The AI agent Instinct, now valued at $10 billion, has expanded its reach into group chats, offering a range of useful features such as travel planning and ticket booking, even for friends who haven’t signed up for the service.
This move comes as Instinct competes with Meta’s Muse, which doesn’t yet offer group chat functionality, though Meta’s older app, Meta AI, can be used in group chats on various platforms.
Instinct founder Noah Shinn explained that the group’s agent is kept separate from the user’s personal account, ensuring privacy and security. Users can choose which groups to trust and can remove that trust whenever they wish.
The new feature is rolling out to early access users first but will be expanded to all users soon. For those eager to try it out, they can ask their Instinct agent to place them on the list.
