When Flai's Ari Polakof first pitched his AI dealership software to car dealerships, it was a small team with big dreams. Now, one year later, Flai’s AI handles over 50,000 appointments monthly, boosting revenue 20-fold and setting itself apart from the competition.
The startup has secured a significant $27 million Series A funding round, bringing on big players like the Friedkin Group and Toyota’s venture arm. This growth is thanks to a platform that goes beyond just answering calls, offering a full suite of services including customer engagement and outbound campaigns.
What sets Flai apart is its flexibility and customer-centric approach. It recently rolled out successfully in Puerto Rico, serving both sales and service while allowing for bilingual conversations. Dealerships are seeing results, with increased sales and more satisfied customers due to faster answers.
Flai's rapid growth is also driven by word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied dealers. Polakof stresses the importance of quick setup and customer service, ensuring every client feels valued. This approach helps Flai fend off competitors like Muse, whose all-encompassing solutions may not match Flai’s deep understanding of the automotive industry.
Despite its success, Flai’s founder is still working to convert his own local dealership, highlighting the importance of personal connections in business.
