At this year’s Google I/O, the tech giant unveiled a range of new features aimed at integrating artificial intelligence more deeply into our lives. From enhanced search capabilities to Gemini Everywhere, Google is pushing the boundaries of what its AI can do and how it can be used in everyday tasks.
The company’s Gemini 3.5 update is now live, with a cheaper, pared-down version called Flash. The core Gemini app has also received a Neural Expressive makeover, featuring a more vibrant design and new voice chat options.
Google’s vision extends to its other services too: Ask YouTube lets users ask natural questions, while Docs Live allows for dictating documents with just your voice. These features might eventually come with ads, as a reminder.
New subscription tiers have been introduced, including the AI Ultra plan, priced at $100 per month. Google is also offering a free starter version of its video generator Gemini Omni, called OmniFlash, for its Pro and Ultra subscribers.
Lastly, Gemini Spark aims to assist with real-life tasks such as planning block parties or writing emails. With all these updates, Google is clearly positioning itself at the forefront of AI innovation, though the price tag may be a deterrent for some users.
