Meta is reportedly developing an AI-powered pendant, planned for testing next year. This follows the acquisition of Limitless, an AI device startup which created a similar product.
The memo hints at plans to expand into AI glasses and launch Wearables for Work, aiming to boost its faltering Reality Labs division. Previous attempts in this space have struggled with consumer adoption due to privacy concerns and marketing missteps.
Despite the challenges, tech giants like Meta are undeterred. With a growing lineup of wearable devices in development, they hope to finally find success where others failed.
The question remains: will consumers trust technology that listens? And if so, how much of our lives do we want it to see?
