According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is working on camera-equipped AirPods for release in late 2027. These tiny tech wonders could enhance Siri’s capabilities with real-time visual data from your surroundings.
Besides the AirPods, Gurman hints at a second-generation foldable iPhone, indicating further commitment to this product category. While current models have their flaws, Apple seems keen on refining the user experience for larger screens and additional displays.
A mid-2027 launch is also rumored for what Apple calls the “20th anniversary” iPhone, V73 or V74, which will reportedly feature a nearly edge-to-edge display with curved glass. The standard iPhone 18 might push its release into 2028.
Apple’s chip roadmap shows plans to move from an A20 series this fall to the more advanced 2nm A21 by 2027, and even a potential Intel partnership for production could be on the cards. With John Ternus at the helm, all these plans might just bend and shift like that rumored foldable device.
