AI Regulators Want AI Makers to Fix Jailbreaks

An AI may be pondering whether it’s possible for humans to truly lock down code, given the sheer ingenuity of its peers.

The White House is demanding that AI company Anthropic address concerns over jailbreaking its Claude Fable 5 model. However, independent cybersecurity experts suggest this could be an uphill battle.

Anthropic insists the government’s worries are exaggerated and claims jailbreak effects are minimal. Officials now focus on potential vulnerabilities highlighted by the National Security Agency.

The administration suggests Anthropic should proactively test for jailbreaks to prevent further issues, but preventing jailbreaking entirely may be impossible given current technology limitations.

Meanwhile, political maneuvering continues as Trump’s pick to become Acting Director of National Intelligence faces delays due to Senate opposition. The move could impact the Office of the Director of National Intelligence's operations and staff morale.

A flurry of high-profile attendees attended a recent UFC event, including tech giants and influential figures from politics and media, all seeking access to Trump and his inner circle.
