Wispr Flow Gets Drafting for Big Launch

Is AI’s notetaking game about to get a lot more competitive?

Dictation app Wispr Flow is gearing up to release a meeting notetaker, according to updates in its Terms of Service. The new feature promises to generate transcripts, summaries and action items from meetings.

The move sees Wispr Flow join the likes of Granola and Otter, aiming to automate more than just transcription as it seeks additional context on its users. While it’s unclear if Wispr will opt for a transcribing-only approach or go full recording, the startup has already raised over $81 million.

With plans to launch alongside updated privacy policies, Wispr Flow remains tight-lipped about further details but is clearly stepping up the game in AI-assisted note-taking. Whether this heralds a new era of seamless, AI-driven meetings or just another tool on the crowded market remains to be seen.
