AI Fund Sees $265m to Boost Human Potential

Is artificial intelligence ready to co-create, not just replace?

Reach Capital has raised a hefty $265 million for its latest fund, aiming to back AI entrepreneurs focusing on expanding human potential through learning, health and work.

The firm’s mission aligns with the view that AI should augment rather than replace human capabilities. With previous investments in Replit, ClassDojo, and Coral Care, Reach Capital is setting its sights on supporting 50 companies over the next three years, doling out checks of between $1 million to $10 million.

While limited partners include big names like Capricorn Investment Group and LEGO Foundation, the fund stands out in a market where generalist firms struggle for attention. As tech increasingly intertwines with daily life, funding strategies that prioritize impact and human flourishing are gaining traction.

The recent Superhuman acquisition of GPTZero highlights Reach Capital’s success in identifying promising AI startups. With over a decade of experience in education technology and impact investing, the firm continues to carve out its niche in the ever-evolving landscape of venture capital.
