Google has upgraded its AI Mode to include features that allow users to track flight prices, book hotels, and even view costs in points or miles. The move positions AI Mode as a comprehensive travel assistant, handling everything from itinerary planning to booking.
Users can describe their travel preferences to AI Mode, including their desired dates and destinations. The tool then displays the best available options from over 300 airlines and travel sites. If users need to wait for cheaper fares, they can set up price tracking, receiving notifications when prices change.
Hotel bookings through AI Mode are also available in the U.S., with support from major hotel chains such as Booking.com and Hilton. Users can discuss their preferences, like room type and cancellation policies, and complete bookings using Google Pay.
The new feature allows users to integrate points or miles into their travel plans, making it easier to manage rewards and discounts. Currently, AI Mode is available in more than 180 countries, offering a global travel experience.
With these updates, Google aims to make travel planning more efficient and less stressful, while also expanding AI Mode's capabilities beyond just information retrieval.
