AI research lab Anthropic has struck a new agreement with tech giants Google and Broadcom for increased processing and compute capacity. This comes as demand for its AI models continues to skyrocket.
The deal will see Anthropic expand its use of Google Cloud’s tensor processing units, bolstering the company's advanced AI chip capabilities and significantly ramping up its infrastructure investment in the U.S., a move that aligns with their $50 billion commitment. The new capacity is set to come online by 2027.
Demand for Anthropic's Claude models has surged, driven by enterprise customers despite regulatory hurdles. This funding round values the company at $380 billion and marks a run rate revenue of $30 billion—a stark contrast from the $9 billion recorded in late 2025.
“This is another step forward in our strategic compute expansion,” CFO Krishna Rao stated, emphasizing their commitment to meeting unprecedented growth. As AI development accelerates, Anthropic’s strategic partnerships could define the future of tech infrastructure.
