Microsoft has announced plans to increase the prices of its Xbox consoles in August. To avoid the inevitable, shoppers are advised to act fast and take advantage of current discounts.
The most significant discount is on the Xbox Series X with a disc drive, which will soon cost $800. Currently, Walmart and Target offer it for $573 each, marking a substantial drop from its usual price of $649.99. This model, which includes a 1TB hard drive and a built-in 4K Blu-ray player, is recommended if you're planning to play games such as GTA VI later this year.
The Xbox Series S, smaller but still powerful, also has some bargains. For the disc-free version, which will rise to $499.99 in August from its usual price of $399.99, Dell is offering a 512GB model for $349.99 — currently the best deal available. Target, meanwhile, lists it at $379.99, which might be worth considering if you prefer to shop locally or take advantage of other Target discounts like the Circle Card.
Despite the rising prices, Microsoft’s flagship console, the Xbox Series X, remains a powerful option for gamers seeking high-fidelity gaming experiences. However, with memory prices continuing to affect industries worldwide, it's wise to act now while you can save on these latest models.
