Google has finally launched its long-awaited standalone Finance app, exclusively for Android users. The app marks a significant step in how we track our finances, with an AI-powered interface that aims to make sense of the often unpredictable stock markets.
The mobile version mirrors the features already available on Google's website, including watchlist creation, real-time market data monitoring, and financial news updates. But it's the integration of generative AI that truly sets this app apart, providing users with 'key moments' that explain why certain numbers change in the markets.
With the mobile app’s launch, Google is also rolling out its new AI research tool to the Finance platform. Accessible via a floating ‘Ask’ button, users can converse directly with Google's financial chatbot about stocks and other investment-related queries. The History section allows for easy access to past conversations, making it easier to track your interactions with the app.
While the iOS version is still planned for later in 2026, Android users now have a taste of what could be coming to their iPhones. This might signal a broader shift towards AI integration in financial tools, potentially revolutionizing how we manage our investments in the future.
