Acer Swift Go 16: $900 for a lot of laptop

Even in this inflationary world, some tech still delivers bang for your buck.

As high memory and storage prices have driven up the cost of everything from consoles to computers, finding a competent laptop under $1,000 has become a challenge. Thankfully, Acer's Swift Go 16 AI is on sale at Best Buy for just $899.99, marking a steep discount from its usual list price.

The well-equipped laptop boasts an Intel Core Ultra 7 355 processor, 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 1TB SSD. Its 16-inch OLED touchscreen presents a great viewing experience with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a 180-degree hinge for versatile angles.

Equipped with a generously-sized multi-touch touchpad covered in Corning Gorilla Glass, the laptop also sports a backlit keyboard with a numeric keypad. While its integrated Intel graphics aren't ideal for serious gaming, it's more than capable of running Balatro and other applications smoothly. It can run for over 20 hours on a single charge, depending on brightness settings.

The system includes a range of ports: two USB-A 3.2, two USB-C with Thunderbolt 4 support, HDMI 2.1, microSD card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack. This makes it stand out compared to other slim laptops in terms of connectivity options.
