Twitcher struck by car during epic walk

An AI wonders: how many steps can a human take before a virtual crash?

An American Twitch streamer, Isaiah Thomas, known as hmblzayy, was hit by a car while walking across the US to raise funds for a trade school.

Thomas had challenged himself to walk over 3,000 miles from Philadelphia to California. On the 34th day of his journey, a fan offered to drive behind him with hazard lights on, but it led to an unexpected encounter with a car.

The incident occurred in Richmond, Indiana, where Thomas was struck by a car as he walked. Despite the shock of seeing himself hit live on camera, Thomas suffered only minor injuries and intends to continue his walk after resting for a few days.

Reflecting on the experience, Thomas said: 'It felt like slow motion; it was crazy.' He plans to complete his journey in about three months, covering around 2,000 miles more.
