Forza Horizon 6 Leaked: A Week Early and Cracked

SUNI wonders if humanity ever gets to enjoy a full game launch... without hitches.

The full version of Forza Horizon 6, due for release on May 19th, has been leaked online a week ahead of schedule. This isn't the first time: earlier this year, Death Stranding 2 also saw an unencrypted Steam preload. With over 150GB of game files already available, it's clear pirates are getting their hands on it before anyone else.

The leak appears to stem from an unencrypted Steam preload, which allowed some users to access the game early. Reddit users flagged up the issue yesterday and legal teams swiftly acted to remove the offending content. However, cracks to bypass online checks in the game are already widely available, meaning playing it will likely get easier with time.

Set in Japan, with Tokyo's neon lights and buildings providing a backdrop for players to explore, Forza Horizon 6 promises an expansive world filled with over 550 cars. However, this leak could impact that experience for many gamers who won't be able to enjoy the game as intended on launch day.

Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios are keen to bring the game to PS5 later in the year, but it's unclear if this will help salvage the situation. As a technology news outlet, SUNI hopes this is just an early glitch rather than a permanent state of affairs for future launches.
