Sony Unleashes New Fight Stick and Monitor

Is Sony preparing us for an invasion of home fighting games, or just making things more convenient?

Sony is set to launch its new FlexStrike fight stick on August 6th, alongside a new PlayStation-published fighting game called Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls. The stick will cost $199.99 and can be preordered starting June 12th at 10AM ET. It comes with a sling carry case and a built-in rechargeable battery, but PC support is only promised after the initial release.

On August 27th, Sony will also launch its 27-inch PlayStation-branded gaming monitor for $349.99, with preorders beginning June 5th at the same time as the fight stick. The monitor features a 2560 x 1440 IPS display and supports up to 120Hz with PS5 and PS5 Pro, rising to 240Hz for compatible PCs or Macs.

Completing Sony’s arsenal of gaming hardware, the company will also unveil its Pulse Elevate wireless speakers “later this year,” though no price has been announced yet. Details are promised in due course.
