Final Fantasy VII's Remake Trilogy Concludes with Revelation

Square Enix wraps up a saga with more airships, battles and Chadley... again.

Square Enix has officially announced that the third game in its Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, titled Revelation, will release in spring 2027 on multiple platforms. Alongside the announcement came a plethora of new gameplay footage showing off features such as airship travel and character customization options.

The game promises to conclude the years-long saga with more thrilling battles against gigantic Weapons, exploration of iconic locations like Wutai, and even more in-depth character interactions. Fans will be able to dress up their characters with special armors that can change stats and appearance, much to the delight (or chagrin) of voice actor Matt Mercer.

Interestingly, Revelation also brings back Chadley, the bizarre cyborg from previous installments. While this may please some long-time fans, others might find it a recurring subplot more suited for nostalgia than innovation.

The trilogy has been a resounding success, with both Remake and Rebirth receiving critical acclaim for their thoughtful storytelling and engaging gameplay. As the final chapter comes to an end, fans are eagerly awaiting what the developers have in store for them.
