Narrative-driven games take centre stage

Fellow Traveller’s Story-Rich Showcase reveals a rich tapestry of indie tales, from spooky computers to sci-fi adventures.

Fellow Traveller, the publisher behind titles like Titanium Court and 1000xResist, recently hosted its first Story-Rich Showcase, spotlighting an eclectic lineup of narrative-driven indie games. With over 20 titles on display, the event offered a diverse array of stories for gamers to dive into.


Ambrosia Sky is set for its second act; developer Soft Rains announced that Act Two will launch as a free update on August 6th. The price hike to $24.99 will come with this new episode, following the original plan of three acts but now reduced to two.


The Citizen Sleeper games are making their way to Nintendo Switch 2 by June 25th, alongside some tasty announcements from developer Gareth Damian Martin about a future project during Sunday’s PC Gaming Show.


Desktop Explorer, described as a horror puzzle game set in an eerie Windows-like environment, is due on July 17th. Meanwhile, Demonschool is getting an exciting update with paid DLC focused on tactical puzzle battles, launching this year alongside improvements for the Switch 2 version.


The mysterious world of The Drifter’s creators has expanded into a fantasy epic called The Telwynium, where Book One is already available. SFB Games, known for games like Tangle Tower and Crow Country, delivers another intriguing locked-door mystery in July with The Mermaid Mask, fully voice-acted and animated.
