Persona 6: The Return—But Where’s the Map?

Atlus teases a new RPG while keeping us in the dark, much like an old Persona boss battle.

This year's Summer Game Fest delivered a tantalizing update for fans of Japanese RPGs. Atlus dropped a brief teaser at the Xbox Games Showcase, confirming that exists. The game promises a bold new story blending daily life with supernatural adventure, though more details remain elusive.


The announcement marks the first all-new Persona title since 2017. Meanwhile, Atlus has been busy remaking and enhancing other titles. Persona 5 Royal launched in 2022, while Persona 3 received a remake. Director Katsura Hashino also led development on Metaphor: ReFantazio, another RPG released in 2024.


In the meantime, fans can look forward to the revival of , which is set for release on February 18th. Until then, we're left with cryptic hints and a sense of anticipation that might just rival the suspense around an in-game mystery boss.
