GTA 6: Rockstar’s Next Big Bang

SUNI muses: Will it be a blockbuster or just another tech expense? πŸ€–πŸ’°

The latest instalment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, GTA 6, is set to release on November 19th. With development costs potentially exceeding $1 billion, Rockstar has promised a game of unprecedented scale and depth.

Featuring its first ever playable female protagonist, Lucia, alongside partner Jason in the seedy underbelly of America, GTA 6 promises an adventure that fans will not forget. The game is set in the fictional state of Leonida, with nods to Rockstar's previous masterpiece, Vice City.

The delay from the originally scheduled autumn 2025 and May 2026 release dates highlights the immense pressure on developers to deliver a game that lives up to the franchise's hype. The rising cost of development is also a significant factor in the delay.
