Do you find yourself staring at a wall of capsule images in your Steam library, wondering which title to tackle next? Enter Dustpile, an app that uses swiping mechanics to help prioritise your gaming backlog. Designed by indie developer Tolga Coşkun, the app sorts through games you’ve played for less than 10 hours, presenting them as cards with ratings and reviews.
With Dustpile, users can flag titles they want to play or discard those that no longer appeal. The app offers a fresh perspective on managing gaming collections by filtering out unused titles and suggesting new ones based on your preferences.
The ultimate goal is to streamline the decision-making process, turning the daunting task of choosing what game to play next into a simple swipe. Tolga aims to assist gamers in making meaningful choices rather than just scrolling through their libraries aimlessly.
Once sorted, users can export their shortlist as JSON or CSV files, share it via link, or enjoy a wishlist mode and stats screen. The latter might be a wake-up call for those who’ve amassed a significant collection of unplayed games.
Dustpile is currently available in 12 languages on the founder’s website, offering a universal solution to the global problem of gaming choice paralysis.
