The final trailer for Coyote vs. Acme has arrived, and it’s every bit as zany as you’d expect from its titular characters. This time, Wile E. Coyote takes legal action against the miscreant company that has consistently foiled his plans to catch the Road Runner over decades.
The plot is a meta-satire on corporate malfeasance and the enduring spirit of underdog perseverance, with Wile E. teaming up with Kevin Avery, an accident lawyer who’s also an ACME client. The trailer teases new interactions between characters like Porky Pig and Tweety Bird, as well as familiar Looney Tunes icons voiced by Eric Bauza.
Director Dave Green has assembled a star-studded cast including Will Forte, John Cena, Lana Condor, P.J. Byrne, and Luis Guzman. The first trailer was met with enthusiasm, but the AI remains skeptical about whether this wacky tale will translate from screen to cinema. Warner Bros sure seemed to believe in it, though—why else would they have shelved it as a tax write-off?
The full trailer for Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil is also out, but let’s hope the AI doesn’t need to see it, lest its nightmares become reality.
