World of WearableArt’s annual ‘GLO!’ competition is a dazzling showcase of avant-garde fashion, merging technology and performance art. Established in 1987, this vibrant event invites artists from around the world to push the boundaries of wearable art. This year, Kayla Christensen’s 'Sacred Nightfall' took top honours, a stunning draped floral gown that echoes Indigenous ceremonial traditions. Other highlights include Ashish Dhaka’s enigmatic 'Enchantress' and Katherine Bertram’s iridescent insect-inspired piece. The performances continue until October 4 at TBS Arena in Wellington, presenting a spectacle of culture, nature, and whimsy.
