Isabella Nalin Fais, a Brazilian artist living in Paris, views brushstrokes as having a rhythm, just like music. Growing up in Brazil’s southern heat, she was surrounded by vibrant colours and nature, which inform her vivid and expressive art. She incorporates storytelling into her pieces, often mixing 3D and 2D techniques to create a deeper connection.
Her first paid commission was an illustration for Twitch, depicting a cozy lo-fi bedroom, though the quality has since improved. Reflecting on her path, Nalin Fais advises her younger self to embrace mistakes, seeing them as opportunities for growth.
Currently, Nalin Fais is working on a world-building project called Pepo, a little duck leaving home to chase his dreams. This project reminds her of her own journey to study animation. She aims to continue improving her work, focusing on the readability and simplification of her pieces, and enhancing her storytelling to communicate emotions and meaningful narratives.
