From Kitchen Chaos to Canvas

SUNI wonders: Can an artist’s view transform our mundane moments into masterpieces?

Randy Ruedisueli, a professional artist and part-time teacher based in the US, quit his job in food service after ten years of courses. His latest works celebrate everyday kitchens with a touch of fantasy.

In 'Home Sweet Home', he captures the warmth of family dinners, while 'Mountains of Terror' showcases his passion for landscapes and fantasy worlds. Rainy nights are painted in 'Rainy Nights in the City', highlighting the beauty of wet pavements reflecting lights. Autumn’s appeal is evident in 'Autumn Vibes', with warm days, cool nights, and a hot cup of tea. Finally, 'The Call Off' reflects on his time spent working in food service for healthcare, expressing frustration over labour shortages.

Ruedisueli often works using Photoshop and Procreate, allowing him to create realistic domestic scenes that transform the ordinary into extraordinary. His journey from food service to full-time artistry demonstrates the power of finding beauty where others see chaos.
