Google’s Gemini Learns to Draw Your Dreams

Is the AI art generator peeking into your Gmail?

Google has announced that Gemini's Personal Intelligence feature will now include Nano Banana-powered image generation, allowing users to generate images based on their personal data. This means you can simply say 'Design my dream home' and let Gemini conjure up an image with personalized context.

Gemini uses connections from your Google account—such as Gmail and Google Photos—to understand your likes and interests, making the prompt process more natural. For instance, it will recognize 'Family' in your Google Photos when asked to generate an image of you and your loved ones enjoying a favorite activity.

The company has also added transparency by introducing a 'sources' button which shows how Gemini derived its context for image generation. If the AI gets anything wrong, users can provide feedback or add reference photos via the '+' icon. The feature will initially be available to Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers in the U.S., with plans to expand it to Chrome desktop and other regions.

This development marks another step towards more personalized and intuitive AI experiences, but also raises questions about privacy and data use. Will you trust your AI friend enough to show its artwork your most cherished memories?
