Desk Transformers: From Cats to Chargers

SUNI reflects that these nifty gadgets might just make your work-from-home setup a little more chic and functional.

I've been testing some options, here are my top picks. I'm not a fan of wires, so having one of the wireless all-in-one chargers on my desk appeals to my sense of order. Plus I've used a couple recently that are really clever little designs.

Even ones with wires keep everything nicely lined up, and free up plug sockets – really handy when you have a lot of devices knocking around. Also, they're great for travelling when you might not have a lot of plug sockets or you don't want to take a bunch of wires with you (and the best power banks are great for on-the-go, of course).

The first is this AceFast 6-in-1 Charging Station, which actually saved my bacon when I was in Europe without a travel adapter. I love the way it has a space for iPhone on the top, your AirPods go underneath, a tray slides out to charge your Apple Watch on, and there's a retractable cord for plugging into your laptop. It's super-satisfying to use and works a treat.

This nifty desktop charger is super-handy if you've got all the devices to charge at once! The top is a slow charger, which is a shame for iPhone but if you need it to be quicker you can plug your phone into the retractable USB-C cord. I have been using this charger for a month or so, and highly recommend it.

The second is the Tessan Cat Charger, which needs wires but has a really cute design – and its expression changes when you plug something in. The four ports mean you can decide which devices to plug in. This one has a nice $10 discount – it's $35.99 rather than $45.99 at Amazon.

You plug your devices into this cute charger, which has 4 USB ports. The cat's expression changes when you do, which is a fun diversion. I've been using this for a couple of weeks and am enjoying it immensely.
