Artist prefers liquid nitrogen to AI

AI might automate everything, but Paloma Rincon is sticking to her messy, creative roots.

Why this world-class visual artist opts for hands-on experiments over digital wizardry.

Paloma Rincon's biggest risk? Submerging flowers in liquid nitrogen at -200°C. The payoff? Capturing fleeting moments the naked eye can't see.

She thrives on physicality, finding joy where algorithms fear to tread: 'Your hands give you instant feedback,' she says. Convenience vs creativity: Paloma thinks less is more—up to a point.

'Smartphones made me lazy but not smart,' she confesses. AI might be taking over, but she's fighting for the tactile experience that keeps her inspired.

As creatives grapple with tech, they must choose their path: technical wizardry or creative risk-taking. Governments, too, should consider the impact of automation on jobs and industries beyond just tech.
