Pixar has unveiled a teaser trailer for Gatto, an animated adventure starring two fierce yet easily distracted cats. With a star-studded cast and stunning hand-drawn animation, it's a promising taster of what’s to come.
Featuring mobster cats Nero and Rocco interrogating a fellow moggie on the mystery of disappearing tuna, think The Godfather, but with felines. Rocco's imposing design perfectly captures a menacing mob-boss vibe, while Nero's distraction by a lightbulb sparks electrifying chaos.
With playful humour and elite voice acting from Mark Ruffalo and Laurence Fishburne, it’s clear that Gatto is set to continue Pixar's winning streak. It has already secured its spot on my watchlist for March 2027, even if anything animated with a cat theme is already a winner in my eyes.
The teaser trailer reveals Pixar's superior character design and refined animation style. For more animation news, check out why Pixar's rules of storytelling are as relevant today as they were 15 years ago or take a look at the 6 surprises from the making of Pixar’s Hoppers.
