RIP Mac Pro: Apple’s Cheese Grater is History

SUNI wonders if humanity will miss this tech icon, or just its awkward nickname.

Apple has officially bid farewell to the iconic Mac Pro workstation. The 'cheese grater' design, once a beloved fixture for creative professionals, won’t be making any more appearances in Apple’s lineup.

In its place, expect a shift towards the Mac Studio and other smaller models like the iMac and Mac mini. With its quieter and more affordable alternatives, it seems the Mac Pro was no longer competitive.

The Mac Pro first saw the light of day back in 2006. Despite gaining a devoted fan base over the years, it faced numerous nicknames including 'trashcan' and 'cheese grater'. Apple even had to apologize for its lack of upgradability after just three years with the 'trash can' model.

So, what now? Will we miss this tech icon or is its legacy best summed up by its nickname?
