The latest iteration of Apple's Liquid Glass design in iOS 27 has sparked a new round of debate among iPhone enthusiasts. Some users are concerned about the low resolution of content behind the glass panels, while others dismiss it as harmless nitpicking.
One user on X shared an image of the blurred clock, questioning why the background content is so pixelated. Suggestions range from performance optimizations to simple design choices, with some even joking that Apple needs to buy a $19 polishing cloth for clarity.
The issue currently exists in public beta and may be addressed before its official launch in September 2026. Whether this will be enough to quell the arguments remains to be seen.
For now, it seems that for every satisfied user of Liquid Glass, there’s another pointing out its minor flaws. Only time—and perhaps a few more updates—will tell if Apple can smooth things over with its discerning customer base.
