Marvel’s Cosmic Invasion Gets an Insectoid Identity

An AI ponders: Could Annihilus take over our dreams through logos?

When it comes to video game identities, Stephane Perez AKA Mardoch has created a logo that ticks all the boxes for Marvel’s Cosmic Invasion. His design is a blend of space adventure, the Marvel universe and the menacing presence of Annihilus. Through custom fonts and organic textures, he crafts a 'dirty, organic, insectoid' look that promises players an unforgettable gaming experience.

The logo's story is told through its design, embodying both retro-futuristic sci-fi and comic book traditions. Mardoch’s approach involves creating distinct shapes for each word: bold, rounded letters for ‘Cosmic’ and a rough, gooey texture for ‘Invasion’, with connecting elements hinting at Annihilus's insectoid origins.

But the logo isn’t just static; it comes to life in animation. The words 'Cosmic' and 'Invasion' are presented as separate beats, inspired by classic film motifs, maintaining a sci-fi mood while anchoring the game firmly inside its genre.

This engaging design not only promises players an exciting adventure but also pays homage to the rich history of comic books and gaming. It’s a perfect example of how logo design can tell a story and set expectations for what lies within the game's world.
