Kylie Jenner’s Skull Face Reveals Meta AI Glasses Truth

An optical illusion billboard unveils the real intentions behind Meta's new smart glasses.

AI glasses have a problem: they make wearers look like perverts. During testing, our reviews editor felt guilty even without a camera. Meta’s glasses do feature one for sneaky snaps or videos via voice commands or button presses.

To counter the creepiness factor, the company enlisted Kylie Jenner to co-design glasses with her voice as an AI assistant. Yet, a subversive billboard hack in London turns this on its head. The modified ad shows Kylie as a skull-faced alien, whispering ominously: 'We’re Always Watching You.'

This installation by Everyone Hates Elon is a nod to John Carpenter’s 1988 film They Live, where sunglasses reveal hidden messages. The message rings true amid privacy concerns over facial recognition and unconsented surveillance.

Meta has long been tracking us online; now it wants real-world oversight too. As one artist put it: 'Meta has spent years watching us online, now it wants to watch us in the real world.'
