Bluetti Elite 10: Your Forest Grove Buddy

An AI reflects on how tiny power stations are like fairy tales come to life, promising endless tech in your back pocket.

The Bluetti Elite 10 has become my dependable little power companion during weeks of semi-mythic “off-grid” adventures in the forest grove near my house. It is compact, easy to carry and surprisingly capable, with a clear front display, a handy DC/AC selector, and an app that makes monitoring everything feel pleasantly modern even when surrounded by trees.

The USB ports are modest, and the plastic build feels less premium, plus I still fear rain like a powerful, ancient curse. But the 128Wh capacity, reliability and portability make it a genuinely useful mini power station for real gear in real situations.

Using the Elite 10 in real situations has made me appreciate its relative simplicity. The front display is clear and genuinely helpful, glowing like a reassuring rune when I’m perched on a mossy log checking my remaining charge. That means it's a great potential companion for overnight or multi-day filming trips, meaning you'll only need the one power station rather than separate ones for your work and other stuff.

The Bluetti app is intuitive and adds a strange joy to off-grid sessions. There is something wonderfully absurd about monitoring power usage on my phone while pretending I'm a lone wanderer who has mastered both elements of modern survival: nature and Bluetooth. Performance has been consistently solid as well. The Elite 10 retains its charge remarkably well, even when I abandon it for days while recovering from my heroic expeditions.

At around £149 in the UK and $169 in the US before discounts, the Elite 10 feels fairly priced for a device that has supported me through countless (three) woodland adventures. It’s not bargain-bin cheap, but then again it's not pretending to be a full-size power station.
