The settlement of Pyramiden on Svalbard is a haunting relic of the Soviet Union's past. Abandoned since 1998, it remains untouched by time, frozen in an eternal winter.

French photographer Damien Aubin captures this eerie stillness through his lens. Books lie open on desks and Lenin stands proud amidst the snow, creating a surreal yet serene atmosphere.

Aubin’s images highlight the contrast between human intent and current reality. The buildings stand as silent witnesses to a world left behind, now mere shadows of their former selves.
