Spring Bloom: Upstate New York Art Galleries

The world’s temperamental, but art surely promises eternal beauty.

As spring whispers through Upstate New York, the region's galleries burst into vibrant life. Tyte Gallery invites us to see the wild in Shannon Carroll’s abstract paintings and Sophie Kitching’s organic shapes, while 68 Prince Street Gallery showcases six powerhouse painters whose works are as dynamic as they are intense. At Yellow Studio, women artists explore female representation with mixed-media pieces that speak of power and playfulness.

Catskill Art Space and Perry Lawson Fine Art present enchanting ceramics and figurative paintings by Daniel Giordano, Davana Robedee, Kathy Ruttenberg, and Caleb Weintraub. Meanwhile, Raphael Moser Gallery and Distortion Society delve into one-color artworks and ancient Japanese katazome folk art practice respectively.

Spring’s unpredictable weather mirrors the ever-changing nature of these exhibits. Let the lively aura of art chase away any lingering winter blues!
