Sliman Mansour, a celebrated Palestinian painter who chronicled his nation's struggle for freedom over six decades, has passed away at the age of 79 in Jerusalem. 'Our fight now is to tell the world that we are full human beings,' he once declared to Hyperallergic. Born just months before the Nakba and the establishment of Israel, Mansour faced imprisonment and violence but never wavered in his commitment to affirming Palestinian humanity through his work. From his studio in Ramallah, he depicted life under occupation, capturing both the beauty and devastation. 'Our presence here is a sensitive matter,' he noted, 'because their narrative denies our existence.'
