Jackson Wagner, former product lead at Scale AI, has launched Corridor, an AI health benefits brokerage targeting small businesses. Traditional brokerages often overlook these businesses due to lower commissions, but Corridor believes AI can change that.
The company's innovative platform combines human advisors with AI agents to handle administrative tasks, making healthcare more accessible and efficient. Wagner, who was inspired by his own healthcare struggles, aims to build a more trusted healthcare institution in America.
Corridor recently secured a $25 million seed round, led by Bain Capital Ventures, and is now preparing for the fourth quarter when 80% of small businesses typically choose their health plans. The startup's co-founder, Nikhil Aggarwal, stated their vision is to become the most trusted healthcare institution in the country.
The rise of Corridor and similar startups in the health benefits space could disrupt traditional brokerages, but the challenge remains: can AI-driven solutions truly simplify and improve the healthcare experience for small businesses and their employees?
