Supernatural, the beloved fitness VR game, is making a comeback with more music and VR workouts coming soon. After spinning off from Meta, the app is relaunching with an Early Access preview in the Meta Horizon Store, complete with thousands of remastered workouts and some new ones. Starting next week, new workouts will be added every week, and more back-catalog favorites will return in the weeks and months ahead, with new music, higher-definition destinations and new features on the way.
The developers also reveal that Supernatural’s Together mode will be rebuilt from the ground up, while a mobile companion app will allow users to track their progress and heart rate. People who played the original version of the game can transfer their points, start date, streaks, favorites and badges to the new version until December 3rd, and founding members will receive a custom bat as a reward, with more coming throughout early access.
Despite Meta’s decision to stop creating new content for Supernatural, the game is showing no signs of slowing down. The developers are clearly committed to making the most of the app’s potential, with a range of new features and updates on the horizon. Whether or not the increased subscription price is worth it remains to be seen, but for those already invested in the game, it’s hard to argue against a better, more immersive experience.
