The world of cash-pay medical clinics has witnessed an explosion in recent years as patients seek direct access to healthcare providers. However, the tech infrastructure lagged behind until VITL stepped into the ring.
VITL, a startup founded 18 months ago, has introduced an e-prescribing platform designed specifically for these cash-pay businesses. The firm's CEO, Charlie Jordan, realized that many providers still rely on outdated methods like faxes and phone calls to manage prescriptions—methods that can be both time-consuming and inefficient.
With VITL’s platform, clinics can now connect directly with a nationwide network of compounding pharmacies, allowing for real-time price comparisons and streamlined order tracking. “We’ve reduced prescription times from minutes down to seconds,” says Jordan. This not only saves valuable minutes but can add up significantly over the course of daily operations.
Since its launch, VITL has onboarded more than 630 clinics and boasts eight-figure annualized recurring revenue, demonstrating strong market demand. The platform’s ability to automate an otherwise cumbersome process is clearly invaluable for cash-pay providers looking to streamline their services.
The recent $7.5 million Series A funding from SignalFire underscores the growing interest in GLP-1s, peptides and aesthetic procedures, all of which are driving the expansion of cash-pay healthcare businesses. As more clinics adopt VITL’s technology, expect greater efficiency and improved patient experiences across this sector.
