Triomics has secured $22 million to streamline oncology workflows with its data-heavy tasks automation platform. The company's co-founder Sarim Khan explains that as cancer breakthroughs extend life, healthcare staff are struggling with complex and extensive medical records. Triomics aims to simplify this by providing verifiable patient summaries directly within the tools clinicians use.
The startup has seen rapid growth, expanding its customer base fourfold in a year and boosting annual revenue tenfold. It differentiates itself from AI competitors like Abridge and Microsoft’s Nuance through its specific training on oncology data, making it more accurate for this field.
Triomics is also tackling the administrative burden of submitting tumor reports to government registries, a legal requirement for cancer centers. This automation not only saves time but also reduces the administrative load on already overworked staff in an industry where burnout is common.
The expansion from identifying clinical trials to summary generation showcases how AI can adapt and grow within healthcare settings. As competition intensifies, Triomics continues to prioritize its unique training data, underscoring the importance of domain-specific expertise in AI solutions.
