These AI-driven documents start as private entities, but can be shared with others in real-time, much like Google Docs. The key difference? Claude can generate and edit these documents on the fly, based on your chat context.

With this update, Anthropic is also streamlining Claude’s interface, merging regular chats and the Cowork tool into a single, seamless experience. Artifacts and design capabilities are now accessible from any chat, making the entire process more fluid and efficient. The new ‘one Claude’ feature is set to launch first to Pro and Max users over the next few weeks, promising a more unified and powerful AI assistant.

While Anthropic’s models are generally seen as more advanced, Google’s suite of productivity tools has the advantage of native integration. Google’s Gemini has already expanded its role in Docs, Sheets, and Slides, providing a robust ecosystem for users. However, Claude’s new tools are closing the gap, offering fewer reasons to leave the Claude chat for other applications.

The rollout is set to begin with Pro and Max users, with Team and Free users following later. For now, users can continue to use Claude chat as they normally would.
