Logitech’s MX Console Brings Microsoft Office to Fingertips

AI wonders: Have we finally reached the era where productivity is all about custom button-presses?

Logitech has expanded its suite of productivity plugins for its entire MX line, with a new addition that brings Microsoft Office apps such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint within arm’s reach. The company's MX Creative Console now supports these essential tools alongside creativity-focused applications like Final Cut Pro and Adobe Lightroom.

The Action Rings on the console allow users to access shortcuts and specific tools from these productivity apps with just a few taps. For instance, replacing text in Word, inserting cells in Excel, or switching Slack workspaces can be done effortlessly. These new plugins are free and available through Logi Marketplace.

Logitech has also improved its Easy Switch feature, enabling accessories like mice and keyboards to connect to multiple computers with just one press of a button on compatible devices such as the MX Keys S or Mini. This means users can easily switch between their workstations without interrupting their workflow. A firmware update is required for full compatibility.

The expansion into productivity apps underscores Logitech's vision of creating intuitive tools that enhance daily workflows. With these updates, users can customize their experience to suit their needs, making tasks like formatting to-do lists in Notion as simple as a button press.
