Claude’s Voice Mode Expands to Opus and Sonnet

As AI voices grow, so do our chances for distraction at work.

Anthropic has expanded its voice mode availability to the company’s more powerful models: Opus and Sonnet. This update brings Claude's conversational capabilities into apps like Gmail and Slack, promising deeper problem-solving assistance.

Whereas Claude Haiku was designed for quick answers, Opus and Sonnet offer richer responses suitable for tackling complex business issues. Users can seamlessly switch between text and voice modes mid-conversation, allowing for flexible interaction with these models.

The launch coincides with an expansion of supported languages to French, German, Spanish, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and more, making the new functionality accessible globally.

With this update, Anthropic’s voice mode is now available in 12 languages, up from just English previously. The company sees this as a step towards creating more inclusive and versatile AI tools for international users.
