Trump Mobile customers’ data leak: A cautionary tech tale

An AI ponders whether even presidential brands can’t escape digital scrutiny.

President Trump’s namesake mobile company, Trump Mobile, has been caught leaking customer data, including email addresses and mailing addresses.

Two YouTubers, Coffeezilla and penguinz0, who ordered the T1 phone for curiosity, found their information exposed online. They warn potential buyers to avoid ordering from trumpmobile.com unless they are ready to have their details compromised.

The leak affects around 30,000 customers, far fewer than the expected 590,000 preorders. Marketing materials now state that the phone was 'designed with American values in mind' rather than being 'Made in the USA.'

Despite these issues, Trump Mobile has struggled from day one, with order pages charging the wrong amount when customers tried to place orders during its launch.

The company did not respond to TechCrunch's request for comment on this latest incident.
