Hundreds of thousands are receiving letters about a cyberattack at U.S. healthcare tech giant CareCloud, which stole medical records from nearly 350,000 people. The company stores data for over 45,000 providers across the US, including doctors’ offices and hospitals.

Details reveal hackers accessed one of CareCloud’s data stores between March 10 and March 16, potentially gaining access to sensitive information such as names, addresses, Social Security numbers and financial details. The breach mirrors a concerning trend in healthcare hacks this year.
