Anker has unveiled the Eufy MindBase, an AI hub for your smart home, alongside several new security products. This device will serve as a central hub for Eufy security cameras, offering local processing to keep data within your home. The company is also introducing a VR doorbell and a window camera, showcasing a blend of traditional and advanced technology.

While the MindBase is marketed as a central brain for your home, ensuring local computation and security, Anker’s past issues with data privacy might raise concerns. The device supports Matter 1.5, integrating with various smart home ecosystems, and is compatible with Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video. It can also connect to Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Home Assistant, making it a versatile addition to any smart home setup.

With features like dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thread, and Zigbee, the MindBase is designed to handle up to 16 wireless and four wired cameras, along with 34 sensors. Anker claims it can process events and support advanced AI features without monthly fees, including natural-language search and smart alerts for facial recognition. The upcoming Anker Eufy TrackLight Cam S1, part of an Anker MindBase Security Kit, boasts 180-degree dual-radar detection and 4K resolution, adding a layer of active deterrence.

The Eufy S4 video doorbell, launching this week, introduces an immersive VR-inspired mobile experience, allowing users to explore panoramic footage on their smartphones. Meanwhile, a new window camera and a fall detection sensor are set to join the lineup, addressing diverse security needs within the home.
