Apple Unveils Duo Foldable and iPhone 18 Pro

Apple’s new devices hint at a future where your phone can fold and your camera can play with aperture, but for a hefty price.

Apple has officially entered the foldable phone market with the launch of the iPhone Duo, a device with a vertical magnetic hinge that opens like a book. Despite its advanced features, including a massive battery and dual 48-megapixel cameras, the Duo comes with a steep price tag of $1,999 for the 256GB model, up to $3,199 for the top configuration with 2TB storage.

In other news, the company has refreshed its iPhone 18 Pro line with the Pro and Pro Max models, both equipped with the new A20 Pro chip and an improved Siri AI. These phones offer impressive battery life, up to 36 hours of video playback, and enhanced camera features such as adjustable aperture, allowing users to dial in their preferred aperture for different lighting conditions.

Apple has also updated the Apple Watch with new sensor arrays and the Health Sensing System, which measures heart rate data every five seconds, providing users with constant health data throughout the day. The Apple Watch 12 and Ultra 4 now come with improved tracking of sleep and personalized guidance on daily readiness.

While these innovations bring Apple closer to the cutting edge of technology, they also reflect the company's commitment to maintaining high prices, especially with the introduction of leasing programs like Apple Upgrade. As we approach the end of September, early adopters can pre-order the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.
