Sleep tech company Eight Sleep has launched its new Pod 6 in smaller and solo sizes, promising faster temperature adjustments and more sensors. The Pod 6, starting at $1,999 for single users, can fit twin beds and half of queen, king or California King beds. The device’s 9x sensors enable finely tuned temperature controls, ignoring data from pets or kids.
The new edition is available in over 37 countries, with solo sizes fitting one person and standard sizes accommodating couples. Additional features include compatibility with blanket and pillow covers, and the company is pursuing FDA approval for its Pod as a medical device for sleep apnea.
Eight Sleep’s international expansion continues, with fast-growing markets in China and plans to expand into Asia and Latin America. CEO Matteo Franceschetti acknowledges the component crunch but remains optimistic, stating that the company is adjusting its supply chain to accommodate the increased computing demands of their devices.
