Meta has unveiled plans for a standalone device, the Muse Charm, designed to work with its new AI agent. The device, described as a chunky smartwatch, is set to launch this holiday season, though details remain scarce.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, demonstrated the device during the Meta Connect presentation. It features a fingerprint sensor for activation and a small camera, alongside three microphones. The Muse Charm is intended to function independently of a phone, allowing users to interact with the AI agent without unlocking their device or opening any apps.

The device's translucent exterior is a point of interest, with Zuckerberg hinting at an 'elevated hacker aesthetic.' However, the company has only built a few prototypes so far and still needs to finalise the finishing material. Despite the lack of concrete details, Zuckerberg promised to share more information 'soon.'

Muse, Meta's AI agent, is less than a month old but has already garnered significant attention. It is capable of performing tasks on behalf of the user, including controlling a Mac or managing an email address.
